Responding to a letter he's received, Curtis starts the day at New Salem Church. Mike, the choir director, has written to Take Home Chef in hopes of cooking something special for his pastor. Surf's up as the Take Home Chef grabs a surfer, a board, and some fresh ingredients and heads to world famous Venice Beach. Curtis creates a menu for two beach-loving siblings that's filled with brotherly love. Responding to a call for help, Curtis cruises over to the California Highway Patrol to surprise an unsuspecting patrolman. Officer Omar has sent Curtis a tape requesting his culinary expertise to cook a going away meal for the division's cherished leader and mentor, Captain Sutherland. Omar is taken completely by surprise when Curtis casually walks in on a CHP training session and offers to help say farewell to the captain in style. The officers send Curtis to a secluded lot nearby to get a head start on the big surprise meal. Desi and Jason enjoy the crab and vegetable spring rolls while Curtis breaks in Desi's new wok, cooking the Pad Thai noodles with hot and spicy sizzling-shrimp.

Curtis serves a south-east Asian curry with jumbo shrimp and scallops. For dessert, he serves strawberries poached in champagne with whipped mascarpone and crème fraiche. Curtis serves grilled swordfish on a bed of fennel and capers and for dessert, rich chocolate mousse layered with crème brulee and topped with berries. Back at Elena's home, Curtis is impressed by the herb and vegetable ... Curtis serves Renee, a mother of two, shrimp curry with ginger and garlic, and for dessert, crepes made from scratch with strawberries and chocolate sauce. Patrishia plans to make dinner for her boyfriend, Ara. Curtis serves a meal featuring fresh bruschetta with smoked salmon and crème fraiche, prime cut fillets with vegetables and beef broth, and tapioca pudding with bananas covered in rum sauce.

Curtis serves fillet mignon with red wine and mushroom sauce on a bed of sautéed spinach for Anastasia and Mike. For dessert, he whips up strawberries flambé topped with granita. For dinner, Curtis prepares fresh Tagliatelle with slow-cooked leg of lamb and vine-roasted tomatoes followed by a Tarte Tatin of onions, goat cheese with a balsamic vinegar reduction for dessert.

By the time Curtis and Yvette finish picking up the lamb shanks, polenta and chocolate for tonight's meal, Yvette is so enamored with Curtis that she vows to "never" let him go. Back at Yvette's house, the cooking goes smoothly and Yvette is ever eager to lend a helping hand, especially when it means giving Curtis some more wine. I'm sure they don't show the people that say no, whats the point? On the house part, I'm sure they give them time to clean and whatever. Many times he tells you that it's like 10 or 11 in the morning and they are cooking dinner for 5 or 6 at night. So yea they cut out a lot of cleaning prep who knows what else out, but I'm convinced that these interactions with these women are real.
